    Top Chef Top Restaurant

I am the biggest top chef fan. So this review may be biased. My husband and I went for my birthday and to my surprise it was on a wednesday night and happen to be during the top chef viewing party. I had mixed reservations about it because you are paying a pretty penny, but at the same time I love top chef. I even got to meet Jen. Well, I have to say it didn't disappoint. It was a great experience. The specialty martini's are aweomse (Repear). Our food was great and service impectable. I would go again.

oh my god the food, so so good

my husband and i eat out almost everynight in the city and we decided to give 10 arts a chance. we were amazed at how good everything was, i mean everything! we had the salmon ceviche and grilled spanish octopus and were fighting each other to get more. the salmon was unbelievable so fresh and light; i have never had octopus so tender before. the country terrine with pickled watermelon n grilled sourdough best in the city! stripe bass and steak frites both cooked perfectly and so flavorfull. i can't wait to get back there and eat more. a lot cheaper then we thought too - big plus! service needs a little help though.

    awesome lounge

i've been to the bar/lounge several times now, and i've always had a fantastic time...very upbeat and cool atmosphere, service is great, and food is awesome with a great selection. we also happened to hear about and take advantage of their "cupcakes and champange happy hour", and the red velvet cupcake is the best i have ever tasted! of course i'll be returning soon, espcecially for the cupcakes.

    noisy, overpriced and pretentious

Tasty but very small portions. A bit pretentious for Philadelphia. A wine list featuring $14-$17 by the glass wines that aren't worth $6...Very noisy and generally overpriced

    Great lunch

This is an outstanding lunch option. I had the trout it was wonderful. I agree that they need to work out some service kinks it wasn't terrible, but not at the appropriate level for this type of restaurant. The manager did come by to greet us, which was a nice touch. I plan on returning soon.

What better surroundings to dine in?

What better surroundings to dine than the lobby of the Ritz Carlton? I appreciate the rejuvenation of the historical architecture with modern light fixtures, cuisine, and libations. Service was drawn out but the pleasant demeanor of the staff (and the flowing of the drink) caused me to forget the lapse. That is saying a lot I am a very impatient person. Portions were meager but you have to know what it is exactly that you are paying for: quality and atmosphere. Both were plentiful. Save up some money, go here, and have a swanky time! (Oh, and order the Corn Chowder.)

    Nice place, but...

I loved Le Bernardin when I was there, but here's my problem with this place. The crab cake I ordered as an appetizer was really quite food, but it had shells in it! If you're paying decent money for a crabcake inside the Ritz Carlton, it better not have any shells in it! Second, the rabbit paillard was good, but not memorable. I would've expected a sauce a little more exciting than a mustard dill.
