Excellent food, service & atmosphere
My husband and I ate twice at 1001 Nights, a restaurant with a Scheherazade atmosphere, small but cozy. The owner speaks English and was helpful to us while we ordered, as the waiter, while attentive, wasn't fluent in English. But the menu is in English and there are some pictures of the dishes on it. The food was meticulously prepared and delicious and the prices were reasonable. We are going back this Saturday evening with a friend when they have live Middle Eastern music. I now call ahead to make a reservation. We went before on weekday nights and came early and were the only ones there, but we were still treated royally. I recommend 1001 Nights heartily!

The best middle Asian restaurant in NE Phila.
I would recommend: 1001 night salat; shurpa; Uzbek pilaf w/lamb and tee a lot.
