After a great day at the Penn Relays, a great way to end the day. We found Anastasi's by chance 4 years ago and have been coming back each year. The food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly & helpful. Last year we had 11 in our party and they don't take reservations. It took a few minutes but we were all seated together. Only negative was they ran out of a lobster dish that several of us wanted. Looking forward to 2013 Penn Relays & dinner at Anastasi's.

Prince Edward Island mussels are advertised on the menu. I ordered them for delivery. Prince Edwars must have been the "Little Prince" because they were the tiniest mussels I have ever seen in my life. Someone in the kitchen must also be color blind because the shells of PEI's are dark green and not black. Needless to say, I was both disappointed and hungry after this meal. Thank heaven for the bread and the broth since there wasn't much of anything else. Don't sell something that is NOT a replacement for what you don't have without first asking the customer if it is OK.

I live around the corner from this place and love picking up a quick dinner here. The seafood is always fresh and very reasonably priced. It doesn't seem too appealing to dine in unless for a quickie lunch. The staff is very helpful and nice, but if they are busy it can be a little hectic. Also, they close at 4pm on Sundays.

An Italian family running a fish market and tucking a restaurant within. A no-brainer. Try the special (Has been the special each time we were there) seafood combo with spinach in white wine appetizer. Enough for several people. Fried calamari likely the best in town.

What better atmosphere can you get than a seafood restaurant right in a seafood store right in the middle of a neighborhood market? There's nothing at all fancy about this place but you just can't get any more authentic. Parking was easy and free right in the lot next door. The service was very good and the waitresses friendly and quite efficient. I had the oysters and the clams casino. This is the second time I've had clams casino this week in Philly and I'm really surprised that they are made with chopped clams. I would expect that in regular restaurants but not in authentic seafood places. They were quite tasty though. The lobster and crab ravioli were also quite good. These are not delicate ravioli in a delicate sauce like I've had in other restaurants. This is definitely a heartier variation of this dish. They're rather generous with the crabmeat, sprinkling it over the dish as a finishing touch. Finally the mixed drinks were a surprising bargain. Priced a couple dollars less than a glass of wine, it was a good choice. One of my personal goals in visiting Philly is to venture out and sample its culinary offerings. Coming here made me feel that I got a real taste of what Philly dining is all about.
