    Great Seafood, Great Prices

I live around the corner from this place and love picking up a quick dinner here. The seafood is always fresh and very reasonably priced. It doesn't seem too appealing to dine in unless for a quickie lunch. The staff is very helpful and nice, but if they are busy it can be a little hectic. Also, they close at 4pm on Sundays.

Italian Market Fish Store - why not?

An Italian family running a fish market and tucking a restaurant within. A no-brainer. Try the special (Has been the special each time we were there) seafood combo with spinach in white wine appetizer. Enough for several people. Fried calamari likely the best in town.

    Great atmosphere!

What better atmosphere can you get than a seafood restaurant right in a seafood store right in the middle of a neighborhood market? There's nothing at all fancy about this place but you just can't get any more authentic. Parking was easy and free right in the lot next door. The service was very good and the waitresses friendly and quite efficient. I had the oysters and the clams casino. This is the second time I've had clams casino this week in Philly and I'm really surprised that they are made with chopped clams. I would expect that in regular restaurants but not in authentic seafood places. They were quite tasty though. The lobster and crab ravioli were also quite good. These are not delicate ravioli in a delicate sauce like I've had in other restaurants. This is definitely a heartier variation of this dish. They're rather generous with the crabmeat, sprinkling it over the dish as a finishing touch. Finally the mixed drinks were a surprising bargain. Priced a couple dollars less than a glass of wine, it was a good choice. One of my personal goals in visiting Philly is to venture out and sample its culinary offerings. Coming here made me feel that I got a real taste of what Philly dining is all about.
