Easter dinner for 6...our meal was truly a wonderful experience from walking in to the attentive staff, the wonderful decor, and the very comfortable seating. I am well versed in italian restaurants here and in italy, and i can assure all this food was authentic and at the same time unique. the menu was interesting and covered all aspects of true umbriam food. the presentation on the plates was lovely. the appetiziers portions were larger than usual. the fontina in pastry with black truffle was exceptional. the melon and proscutto was more than enough for two and delicious. the caprese salad was a tower of deliciousness. the salads were delicious and large also. the entrees: pork dish with the lardo was very good and the lardo perfectly crispy, the wild boar tender and flavorful. the tuna with squid ink special was delicious. iwe were very impressed with the food and service! our waitress vicki was attentive and fabio the owner friendly and available and made an effort to meet us. they also sent over a complumentary eppitizer that they were considering for the menu, panzalella salad, which was terrific. the chef is well versed in umbrian food. the wine , sangiovese, was velvety smooth and delicious. we will definately be returning for dinner, and also just stopping by to sit in the piazza with a glass of wine. oh, also, the prices were ver reasonable.

The hotel concierge recommended my boyfriend and I try this restaurant for our Valentine's Day dinner. We arrived at the restaurant but did not know we were there because the sign had not been changed from its old name which was Vino Wine Bar (or something along those lines) We walked around for 15 minutes trying to find this place until I finally called and they told me there was no sign outside and they were the restaurant on the corner. It would have been nice if they told me this information when I called and my our reservation! We were seated promptly in a nice dinning area. The inside was nicely decorated which will be the first and last nice thing I have to say about this place. As soon as we sat down the dysfunction of this restaurant became apparent, although the lack of sign with current restaurant name outside should have given us a clue. It took our waiter ten minutes to come to our table and when he finally did he was pushing us to order off the pre-fixed Valentines day menu for $50 a person rather than look at the regular menu. I asked to see a menu which he again tried to push the pre-fixed menu on us. He finally brought us menus after 20 minutes of waiting and we both ordered entrees (no appetizer) Our entrees took 35 minutes to come to the table and when they arrived my boyfriends was cold! We cut our losses and ate the mediocre food served to us. We ordered dessert which was obviously too much to handle. Our waiter brought us the wrong dessert at first and finally brought the correct one about fifteen minutes later. The dessert was not good at all! It was the strangest dinning experience either of us have ever had. The place was so disorganized, the staff could not get it together and the place wasn't even full. My boyfriend and I were joking that it was something you would see on that show Kitchen Nightmares. This place has the potential to be good but they seriously need to get their act together! They have a lot of nerve charging so much for "ok" food, and very poor service! Totally disappointed in with our experience at this place.
