What Happened??
My girlfriends and I used to frequent Aqua often for girls dinner and it was fabulous. Great food, great value. I went in for the first time since they obtained their liquor license the other night and I was so disappointed!! Food was still the same but we were told rice was not included with any of the dishes and it was a la carte. Come again?? I have never in my life ever been to an Asian restautant where rice is a la carte. Not only that, the portion was maybe at best, a lunch special portion. Should have never gotten the liquor license... now the manangement is skimping on every little thing.... Shame shame shame....

simply delicious
Every time I eat here i discover something new and tastier. Staff is always friendly and attentive..food is always tasty and staff will offer suggestions and instruct the cook if you like more/less spice. Great value. Parking is the same for any downtown establishment.

Decent - worth trying
Service was good when we went (didn't have to wait forever to be served or for our food to come). Pricing was a little higher than expected but not by much. Food is good, just have to find what's good there - definitely will come back for the indian potato curry apps/entrees. Great for take-out. Little hard to find parking if you drive.

Disaster
The mamagement should be reminded that rendang is a dry curry & tom yom soup shouldn't be greasy/fatty. The satay was under cooked/grilled. Overall, the food quality was poor and the recipes completely miss the mark. Too many short-cuts and lack of interest from management and staff to replicate actual quality and high stabdards that Malaysia is famous for. Note.....after one taste of the soup we could not continue and moved on to the next course yet the satff never asked why we were returning uneaten dishes. Waste of $$$.....wouldn't eat there again if it was free. The "Tiger" beer was the only high point of the evening.

Expensive fare
An appetizer, a small so-so entree and a drink for three costs over $90. Quite surprising compared to other Asian fare in Philly.

Great Place
This was the first time I went there, and was very pleased with everything. A very good menu, good food, nice place, inexpensive. A great mix of Thai and Malaysian.

Superb all around!
I celebrated my 25th birthday here and have eaten here on numerous occasions since. The team is talented, cordial, and accommodating. Aqua Restaurant is able to serve a table of 25 or a table of 2 with the same passion and outstanding service. Kudos and keep up the great work! I'll be there tomorrow; it's been over a week since I've had my Aqua fill!
