    Eh

I came to Baby Blues on the impression it was the best BBQ in town. It was alright. The food was pretty good, not as authentic as I thought it would be. My problem was the cleanliness of the place. There were crumbs all over my seat, my table had dried sauce all over it, and my silverware was dirty. The food was pretty good, had the shrimp which was fantastic and the mac and cheese, but there was something off about the mashed potatoes (are they supposed to be soupy??)

a really good place with a great atmosphere

I have visited this place many times now and I keep going back to it because I really enjoy the food and atmosphere. Sometimes to have a quick dinner at the bar or have a dinner in the restaurant area. Both options are great. The baby back ribs, gargano texas rib and Lasker burger are great choices. The Mac n Cheese is terrific. Besides the good food what really draws me back to this place is the personal and enthusiasmic approach by the people working at BBblues BBQ including Steve and John (owners) Joe (bartender), Ann and Allison (waitresses) Don't forget to ask for the beer specials and check out the awesome bison head in the restaurant area!

    Best BBQ in the City

Always the best waitstaff.. always the best food.. Love the fact that I can get grilled wings instead of fried.. being a member of Weight Watchers I can eat the food there! Nothing is greasy.. Thank you for coming to University City!

    Best BBQ Around

OMG I love this restaurant! I’ve work in the university area for over 30 years and have tried every restaurant. This has now become my #1 favorite spot when deciding where to go for lunch. The pulled pork sandwich is awesome and the mac n cheese is to die-for. Even the cole-slaw is dynamite. I've recommended this restaurant to several of my friends & co-workers and everyone that goes there comes back raving about it. The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff is very friendly and the food is umm-umm good! So if you’re looking for excellent food you must try Baby Blues BBQ. I guarantee, you will not be disappointed.

small space, mixed reaction to food

atmosphere: 3 small rooms of brick, distressed wood and mismatched furniture, bar, moderately loud blues/rock during day, LOUD at night, paper towel rolls (great idea for BBQ) on tables; service: helpful and timely; food: brisket tender and flavorful, pork dry and stringy, sausage taste OK but pink in middle, cornbread moist and buttery with little sweetness, corn cob small with butter and sprinkled dry cheese, sweet sauce thin with sweet/heat balance on the heat side, BBQ sauce thick with smoke/heat balance on the heat side, hot and XXX sauce not sampled; value: lunch specials were good value at $10-$15, dinner menu unsampled, drinks unsampled

    Best Barbeque Ever

Fell in love with this place first time I had lunch there.. then met the owner, Steve, friendliest guy you ever met. Food is consistently great, best cole slaw I ever had, ribs to die for. Wait until you try the cornbread!
