Best Kept Secret
Balkan Express is a fantastic restaurant! The owners are a married couple, and they are always the people there to serve you. They are friendly and will go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable. The food on the menu is delicious and the prices are a great value! Both times that I have gone, my friends and I have shared appetizers and dessert, plus each gotten an entree, for less than $20 per person. They will also make other regional foods that are not on the menu if you call ahead and ask. Ask for the burek, a delicious cheese bread/pastry appetizer that is large enough to share with a party of 8. Both times that I went to Balkan Express, I called ahead the day before to make sure they would be open. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and I plan on going back again soon. They would also be a great place to have dinner with a large party since there is so much space for seating and it's BYOB.
