Great food, not so great server

I took my dad here for father's day and was slightly worried that it would have the over-the-top feel and people would be smug. I was pleasantly surprised when the hostesses were especially nice, wishing my father a Happy Father's Day. Our server, however, fulfilled my fear - she didn't look at us while telling us the specials and seemed very unamused by our presence. Perhaps it was because we didn't order a bottle of wine, who knows, we're not big drinkers, doesn't mean we won't order a good meal. She continued to be mildly interested in us, asking us how our food was but walking away before we answer and finally showed some shred of personality when the bill came and she realized that I (i'm a twenty five year old female) was paying, she cheered up and wished my dad a great father's day and told him he did a great job in raising me (why? because we were in a fancy restaurant and i was paying?). Regardless of her, the staff was great and friendly, the food was excellent, i recommend the kobe beef sliders!

    Can anyone say sliders?

The food here is fabulous. The wait staff could not have been more accommodating. Although we were there in the middle of the week, the main dining room filled up very quickly...amazing for a Tuesday evening.

    High end comfort food

Have never had a bad meal, dine there frequently. The best filets I have ever had, trimed perfectly without that little tail alot of places leave on to add to the weight. They are very tasty and never dry. The vegetable are simple and basic, we order at least 3 and share a steak, truffled mashed are the best. Its comfort food on the high end.

    Great atmosphere, great service, but..

Service was great, the atmoshpere was great... As advertised, kobe sliders were incredible, as was the lobster bisque. It wasn't overly creamy, just right and very full with flavor.. crab cakes were very good.. no filling, just crab and beautiful presentation.. And then it went downhill.. I had the porterhouse, my girl had the house special NY strip. It was Pittsburgh style, cooked somewhat too rare for medium rare... with emphasis on steak, it didn't live up to its billing. Steak wasnt as tender as other strips I had, only thing that was somewhat desent was the tenderloin portion of the porterhouse. Overall, steaks were not tender, nor juicy, nor flavorful.. Better than average places but no where near top notch steak house quality... Service was great though, and desert was ok.. I would just return here for lunch maybe and have those insanely good kobe sliders, anything else, don't waste the money....

    Amazing Experience!

Yes, the food is a little pricey - but certainly worth it! The sliders are a must, as is the lobster bisque. Their steaks are absolutely fantastic...and you have to try to tater tots! They're like whipped potatoes in a lighly fried shell - made from scratch in house. The atmosphere is relaxed and modest and the servers are very friendly and helpful. Overall, you're paying not only for good food, but an amazing experience!
