    Great place to work

I live 30 minutes away, but everytime I have a big paper due or just have a lot of work to get done, I drive out to Bear Rock. The food is fantastic - their menu is endless. The people that work there are also very friendly. The place itself is perfect for working - they have large tables, big windows and a great fireplace. Unlike most cafes these days, Bear Rock does not play music which really helps keep the volume down and makes it a great place to focus and get work done (but also have a conversation with people without having to shout). Just overall a great place, not overpriced. I just wish it was a little closer to home.

    Bear Rock - hmm

The Bear rock is a great place to go with friends to hang out and get a sandwich or soup. They have wi-fi there and outlets so if you need to you can bring a laptop and just chill there. I love the atmosphere...its so great. The one thing we don't like is we saw them unwrapping rice krispies treats (which they call marshmellow treats and sell as their own).

    Nice appearance, so-so cuisine

Granted, we like a healthier taste, but compared to Panera Bread, this place is sub-par. The look was fantastic; the fireplace was very inviting. The large menu was nice, but everything appeared to have mayo on it. Ugh. And requesting without mayo was no problem, but it made the food taste more like an overpriced deli. Coffee? Eh. Everyone has their own tastes. Someone who enjoys dark roasts, like myself, should hit the Starbucks outside before entering, should you choose to sample here.
