Disappointing
A few friends and I went here for a brithday dinner and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Our waiter had a fake accent and leered creepily by our table for the entire meal making us really uncomfortable. The penne alla vodka I ordered tasted and looked like children's macaroni and cheese from a restaurant the likes of Chili's or Ruby Tuesday. The waiter tried to rush us out while our food was still sitting on the table and we had only been there for about 45 mins, and instead of letting us know that the restaurant was near closing, the owner TURNED THE LIGHTS OFF while we were sitting at the table. The decor was trashy, food poor, and service worse....you've been warned

Perfect Dining Experience
No matter what city we end up in, we always try to find a nice little Italian restaurant for a romantic dinner out. With so many to pick from in Philly, Bellini stood out for not only being open on a Sunday evening (rare, apparantly, for many small restaurants), but also for its many vegetarian-friendly dishes (truly a feat to find in the city). When we walked in the door, we were pleasantly greeted by the manager, and seated promptly in a cozy, window-front alcove. The menu was diverse and reasonably priced. The restaurant allows you to bring in your own wine. We enjoyed salad, seafood soup (amazing!), whole-wheat fetticcini with marinara, and crab stuffed raviolis in pesto cream sauce. All were beyond excellent and surpassed expectation. The desserts were served with "Bellini" etched in strawberry syrup on the plates - a whimiscal touch! The staff was amazingly polite and attentive. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Unbeleivably cheap portions
We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon, the resturant was clean & decorative . I had the lobster bisque, it was good. I ordered eggplant parm, with side of spinach. I felt the 2 tablespoons of spinach was over priced at $6.50 and I felt the eggplant parm was WAY over priced at $12.00+ for a 3inch by 3inch portion. ( 2 layers min, for the cheese to melt) The eggplant was tasty, but not for that price. This resturant Manager needs to visit Marra's, their eggplant comes with a side it is $11.50 ( that is actually an increase) it was $9.00 for years. I will not return to this place, in this economy, they may not make it, unless fools eat there. My guest ( so sorry I took him there) had the chicken panni, it too was skimpy on the serving. Does this owner think all people want a TASTE for this amount. need to increase some portions, and stop ripping people off. Thanks but no thanks.

Best grilled calamari in the city
Bellini Grill is a very affordable Italian restaurant in center city. The food was very good, however, the portions could have been a little larger. We had the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was amazing, although we heard that the grilled calamari is the best in the city. The veal is very tasty and the penne bellini with chicken has one of the best pasta sauces I've ever had. Great food, great service!

Terrific for the unspoiled
We've been to the restaurant on two occasions and found delicious food, wonderful service and a friendly atmosphere. Those 20 somethings were probably rude, entitled and self-important.

Great experience, start to finish
We were debating outside the door whether to go in or not at 9pm on a Saturday. My boyfriend and I were starving, but were just wearing gym/lounge clothes, while everyone dining was dressed for dinner. The owner came out, asked us if we were hungry, and welcomed us in with open arms as we apologized for being under dressed and asked for a corner table. The owner and waitstaff were more than great to us the entire evening. It had the feeling of a small family-run restaurant, the waitstaff were all knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. The food exceeded our expectations. The menu was diverse selection of classic Italian dishes. The pasta (homemade) was amazing, seafood fresh. The mozzarella on the caprese melted in your mouth. We will definitely be back for a many times to come, dressed better than jogging shorts.

Love this place
The Bellini Grill is a great bet for excellent BYO Italian food, and low, low prices. The pasta always tastes incredibly fresh, and every time I've been there the servers have been extremely helpful and friendly. I usually order one of the nightly chef's specials- they are always delicious, though a bit pricier than the other menu items. This is the first Italian place in Center City that I head to, I keep trying others, but they are never as good.
