The owner son is really nice and is always there to help if needed, The is great can be better if it was my place I would fire the cooks and get someone who acually cared. Beer prices are over priced, but I can understand that. I dk what the other people are talking about because other than that the place is fine..

I just moved into the neighborhood and I like the vibe of Green Line across the street and I decided to give this place a try. The pizza crust is too chewy and the taste is cardboard-like. The staff is especially rude and I will not return. They charge more than their price listings on the boards.

There is no better selection of bottled beers anywhere in West Philly. This place has 2 huge TVs so you can watch CNN or your local sporting event with a hard- to- find brewsky. The service was good, and I enjoyed the plain pizza. It's also good for large orders-- I have ordered for several events and they have been prompt and professional. Best House is a cool spot with no frills. I like it.

The pizza is kind of unreliable - decent one day, greasy the next. It's fine as an around-the-corner pizza place. It has some booth seating, which is more than a lot of pizza joints. One of the definite perks - it has a pretty nice beer selection, and you can get a mixed six pack.

I find it very ironic that this place is called Best House because honestly, I've never had such a poor experience in my life! Last night my boyfriend and I (who are frequent take-out people) decided to try someplace new. With Best House being conveniently located near his apartment and an having extensive menu selection, we thought why not try it. Big mistake! The food took over an hour to be delivered, which for a Tuesday night is very rare. When we received the food, my entree (fettucine alfredo) had no flavor at all. My boyfriend ordered a lamb gyro and the pita was so stale and hard he couldn't even bite into it. The french fries were soggy and smelled like cigarettes. We called to inform them that their food was subpar and that we would be glad to return it for a refund. The guy on the phone said that we would have to call back at 10 to speak with the manager. At 10 we called and my boyfriend got the manager on the phone. He told him about our food and the manager offered to give us a large pizza and pay us back the difference. We agreed because at this point we were starving and anything sounded good. Needless to say, almost an hour later the pizza was delivered to us and the driver gave us $2 back. My boyfriend called the manager again and said that $2 was not acceptable and that we want the rest of our money back from our order. He then tells us that he gave us an "extra large" pizza and that it cost more. He agreed to send the driver back and give us the rest of our money. We sat down and opened up the pizza box and the pizza was unappetizing. My boyfriend's roommate (who will eat anything that's free) even turned it down after taking a bite. We threw the pizza out and waited for the driver to give us the rest of our money back. About 40 minutes later he returned with $9 crumbled up and a paper brown bag containing $1 in change (pennies included). The driver then complained to us saying that we were wasting his time driving back and forth.
