Best Soul Food in Philly
Big Daddy's is a great take out restaurant that serves big portions. The chicken, fish and bbq are delicious. Also for a great value ask for the luch menu. It is a Chrisitian restaurant and small eat-in but clean. Everything is made fresh. Great you'll have to try it.

Best soul food for take out
I love this resturant. They are fast, clean and most of all very courteous. I love there fried whiting and potato salad. The mac and chesse is very chesse and unique. It's hard to find good mac and chesse anywhere. I get food from here 3 to 5 times a month. The greens are not frozen and the string beans arn't either. Really, Really Good. A+

Plain and Simple
The food was good. No bells and whistles, just plain good food. I will be back again. I had tha catfish, which was fried well, mac and sheese and yams. Hubby had BBQ chicken w/ stringbeans and potato salad. I don't think I will order dessert again, the red velvet cake and sweet potatoe pie weren't as impresssive. Service was fine and quick.

Great food
For me, this is the best soul food I've had in Philly so far. It's not too salty and the food has great flavor at a great price. We went at like 10pm and the food was freshly made. It smelled so good. I had the catfish, my friends had the seafood and bbq half chicken. It all tasted good. This is my number one.

The city's best kept secret
The service is great, and they make you feel like family. They call you by your name, not hun or mam. It's great for take out but small for eat in. Very busy on the weekend so it;s best to walk in instead of calling ahead. If you do call in make sure its before 8pm on the weekends(very busy). But when you eat the food you will know why itts so busy. The flounder, catfish, whiting, fried chicken and the combo bbq ribs and chicken platter are the best. The best sides are mac & cheese, candied yams, string beans, and cabbage. The greens are good but may need a little salt. My family loves the food, price and service.
