Not a true meal having been in India
I recently had dinner at Bindi. I wanted additional rice with my meal having been served a tiny cup of rice which was included. When they charged me an additional $4.00 I was appalled. I mentioned this to the waiter and he called the manager over. The manage said this was their policy and charged me the additional $4.00. Considering they had just opened, I felt this was not a way to have returning customers. They just lost me.

Great First Meal
My wife and I had dinner here during their second or third night after opening. Our server was a bit unsure of himself, but that's to be expected during a restaurant's first couple nights. The atmosphere is relatively typical of Center City BYOBs; small, lots of wood, dark. Noise wasn't a problem while we were there, but it was only about half full. I imagine it would be fairly loud when packed. They have a long wooden table in the center of the room which they seated us at one end of, so I guess they will be using it both for large parties and as a community table for multiple small parties. We were both extremely impressed with the food. The duck and samosa appetizers were on the mark and the lamb shank entree was perfectly fall-off-the-bone tender, as well as being deliciously seasoned. The only slight food issue we had was with our spinach roti. I felt they went a little too heavy on the sea salt. But that's one minor complaint in an otherwise top notch meal. We'll definately be going back.
