great value
We hadn't been to the Blue Coment in years; we had stopped going because there was so much cigarette smoking. A discount coupon brought us back and we were nicely surprised. The food is better than it used to be. We ordered an oriental chicken salad, which was not only fresh and delicious, but big enough for two of us to share. We will definitely go back and share another one. We had ordered meanloaf but took it home because the salad filled us up. The meanloaf was just so so, which is why our rating is 4.5 instead of 5. The atmosphere is down to earth, pub-grill style. The lighting could be better; it's very dim, although not unpleasant.

Cool joint, cool people and great food
Super cool vibe, great meatloaf sandwich, gravy fries and shrimp appetizer. Only issue was we had our baby with us and no highchairs. We stayed though cause everything hit the spot!

The Comet LIVES!
The Blue Comet is back, and better than ever! There's now a courtyard (complete with fish and a fountain!) where you can enjoy your drinks and dinner when the weather's nice, and the food is even better than before. This is a night out -- or an afternoon -- the way it's supposed to be.

Closed
Enjoyed this bar for live music and good food in the burbs. Too bad it's now closed.

Food is starting to slip a little
My boyfriend and I used to eat at the Blue Comet regularly. You can’t beat the prices for drinks and the portions of food. Lately, we noticed that the food is not as good as it used to be. There is less attention to detail when it comes to the seasoning of the food and the overall quality. Hopefully, we went on an off day and the food will rebound to the awesomeness it once had.

Old-school fun
The Blue Comet is a place for any of you out there with a love for the 1940's or 50's. Rockabilly/Psychobilly bands play every Sunday. Local car clubs and those who love vintage call this place home. Best place to be, cheap beer, great service and entertainment.
