Very Good Sushi
I enjoyed Blue Fin, it was very fresh sushi. My only complaint is that their special rolls weren't all that creative in comparison to other places in the area. Blue fin is great for more traditional sushi, but I tend to like more creative mixed up rolls.

Amazingly great!
My favorite dish: Dragon Roll. I think what really did it was the soft avocados. I plan to visit as often as I can while I'm in town and still have some cash. As a person living off of financial aid, this is not exactly college town sushi prices, but definitely worth it! (check out their website and menu).

Best east coast sushi
Forget Nobu, forget Morimoto - Blue Fin and Yong (sushi chef) win hands down! For the best sushi on the east coast, head to this small restaurant (in a run down strip shopping center no less!), but forget it if you don't have a reservation, even on a Tuesday night. Bring you own libation and ask Yong, Sam or crystal what's the best that day and enjoy the wonderful fresh sushi at 1/2 the price of Nobu or Morimoto.

Jonathan
Everything here was amazing besides the uni, I'm not quite sure what Jonathan is referring to...

Best sushi around Philly
In my experience, the surest test of the quality of a sushi chef is the uni (sea urchin) they choose to serve. If it is not top quality or absolutely fresh it tastes like detergent! Yong Kim serves the best uni I have had outside of Japan with the exception only of Sushi Ota in San Diego. I happened one Friday lunchtime to meet the Japanese merchants that supply the uni (and other fish) at the counter in Bluefin. They were eating their own Uni and plenty more besides! With Uni this good you know the rest will be good too and it is. It is so good that the taste of the fish stays in my memory long after I've left. The Unagi too is terrific, a long piece of wonderful grilled eel draped elegantly over a cube of rice. The lunch menu is incredibly good value. Go for the Sashimi lunch or the Sushi/Sashimi combo and you will not be disappointed

Best Sushi!!!
I have been to many sushi restaurants in NYC, Miami, and Philly and Blue Fin is my favorite. Every time that I have been to Blue Fin it has been top notch. I recently had sushi at Morimoto in downtown Philadelphia, which has a great ambiance, however, Blue Fin blows their sushi away. Make sure you make a reservation because it does get busy at peak hours.
