Excellent food, otherwise conventional.
I'd go back for the food, which was well prepared in a generous quantity. The Angus beef burgers (one spicy Buffalo and one regular) were excellent in flavor, with good amounts of blue cheese sauce and watercress on the Buffalo. The fries were better than McD's, which is my A standard, and one serving was enough for two people. A coffee milk shake was impressively thick and flavorful. The atmosphere and furnishings were typical of a coffee shop. Prices were moderate for an urban area, so the value was good. I recommend it for a casual meal.

amazed but not surprised.
i finally made it to an foodnetwork chef resturant. It was wonderful all the food. I went with with my family. First we are from cali and we have some of the best burger joints in the world in my book i.e. fatburger,in and out. Well any way it was me my wife my two children and two grandparents all from cali. Now im an bobby flay fan i have most of his books and tvo most of his shows so im an fan. I was very happy to see that his joint makes burgers like I like them juicy and good speacially since Ive made most of the burgers in his burger book, and the sides too. I loved it all the shakes too the only thing I'm mad at is that I live on the westcoast and would love to eat there again that is the only grip I have. Other than that you will leave happy and satisfied with whatever outcome or choices you pick i recommend an tasting menu that's what i did :-). enjoy

just ok
I have eaten at BBP several times now because the location is convenient. I have never disliked any of their burgers, but I haven’t been impressed with any of them either. They are ok. Copa down the street has much better burgers. The cost would be reasonable for Philly if they were a bit bigger and tasted a bit better.

BBP
I really enjoyed my meal. My Louisiana Burger was cooked to order and tasted great. I also ordered french fries, and black &white milkshake. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

B.B.P. is the bomb!! My Philly Burger was great. The burger was just right, nice size, and done to perfection. I was completely satiated.

Overpriced
Went to Bobby's Burger Palace today since the line stopped going all the way outside and I was in the mood for the burger. I had looked at the menu beforehand and had decided on trying the L.A. Burger (with turkey, not beef). I knew it would be a bit pricey for a burger ($8.10 including tax), but I thought it must be worth it then. Only, it turned out it wasn't. At all. The L.A. Burger is supposed to have watercress and avocado relish as the thing that makes it special. I didn't expect them to overload the burger, but was I really wrong to have expected more than just three thin (almost wilted) pieces of watercress? How about more than half a teaspoon of avocado relish in the middle of the burger? And for some reason they gave me three pickles on the side, but forgot the raw onion I had asked for. Also, the turkey burger didn't even look like it was done, so i had to cook it more when I got home. Mind you, I found all this out when I got home because I had ordered take-out, so there wasn't much my starving self could do about it. By the way, when you order take-out, you have to stand in a huddled mass between the door and the tables and wait there for your order. I imagine it makes the seated customers rather uncomfortable to have such a large group of people hovering so close behind them while they eat and talk. $8.10 is less than what others have paid here since I only got one burger, but it's still far too much for the quality (or lack thereof) that you'll actually be getting. At least it tasted fine, anyway, but it was by no means anything special or anything that you couldn't get at a pizza shop. Though I have gone to pizza shops with better burgers and certainly way better value than Bobby's Burger Palace. I'm not exaggerating, I just wish I were.
