I have to agree with the rehersal customer.....Bona Cucina was my favorite place to go, however the last 3 times I was there the waitress was just so rude. You can have the best food in town but if you are rude and mistreat your guests you will not have any left! For years I was a steady customer but the rudeness has been a real turn off.

I was introduced to Bona Cucina by my now wife and truely love this restaurant. If you didn't know it was there you'd pass right by. The food is outstanding and is not only perfectly cooked but also full flavored. The portion sizes are large and will provide leftovers for the following day. The restaurant is small and cozy so I would hesitate o bring more than 4 or possibly a 6 person party. I did have my rehersal dinner for my wedding here with 14 people but honestly feel the exprience lends itself better to smaller parties. The service is friendly and charming and you feel like old friends when you dine here. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I was told by owner's they could accommodate my 32 person wedding rehearsal dinner, as long as I gave them each person's orders 1 wk in advance so they could prep the meals, which I did along w/ a $100.00 deposit. That night it took an hour & a half to get our appetizers out, another hour to get soda's, kids didn't get their spaghetti or soda until 2 hrs into dinner. We finally got our dinners about 2hrs 45 min later. Everyone was restless & starving, especially children! (who by the way didn't have any highchairs...not a sigle 1!) The owner was very very very rude to our guest! At one point she gave someone the wrong order & then told him "well this is what I have written down & this is what the cook made so your gonna have to eat it because we can't cook you something else now" & sat the plate back in front of him after he told her it was wrong and he didn't want it! I was appalled at the rude service! The owner/server came out in front of our whole party & said "we will never allow anyone to order open menu again after this large a party!" Later I asked the server if we could please out a rush on the kids food because we had been there over 2 hrs & she told me "look, we only have 1 cook so the kids are just gonna have to sit tight we are moving as fast as we can here!" I used to be a regular customer there but I will never recommend or ever eat there again. It was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in a restaurant! If they could not accommodate such a large party, they should've turned me down when I called 3 mths before to reserve my party. I cannot begin to tell you how devastated I was by their unprofessional behavior! If I didn't have 30 people there to feed I would have walked out after the 1st hour of this terrible experience! Please take it from me & don't make the same mistake I made! This place is ok for a small party, but never for a large group.

authentic- true philly experience. nothing fancy but you feel like you are having dinner in someones home. the food is delicious, atmosphere is warm and toasty/cozy. BYOB makes it even better. homerun!! we reward our kids for good grades with a dinner here. Mangia!!

Truly one of the Western Suburbs best kept secrets. The food is unbelievable. They do not try and turn your table over, so you get to stay for hours with that being said, it can take quite some time to get your entree, so make sure to eat the delicious bread and order appetizers. It is BYOB so bring some wine for a great evening! A truly authentic atmosphere, this is one of those places that you just keep going back to.

This is a special place for my lady friend and I. The food is excellent and the service in my opinion is impeccable. I have been there twice and have had "Frankie" as our server, well just for the record she's more than that. Because of her and the food we have made this one of those places for special personal occasions. Keep up the great job and we will be seeing you soon.
