Excellent Pasta, Evil Server
Seriously great food, a nice neighborhood BYOB, but don't let anyone one in your party byob a bottle of beer, because the server discriminate, ignore several requests for the glass, and eventually wait on every table except for yours. Server needs some basic human training. Thanks to the Chef, but we can't return, too many comparable places in Rittenhouse with decent service.

service and food was excellent
My branzino was superb. other dishes looked good too. Service was excellent for 6 people on Sat night. The byob crowd on a Sat is always noisier in a small restaurant. Overall a good experience.

subpar service
We never even sat down to eat. We were at the restaurant on time for our 8 PM reservation. The hostess told us that the table was not ready yet and it would take about 15 minutes (there is no where to stand in the restaurant while waiting and it was freezing outside). The reservation was made for 5 originally, but one more wanted to come, so I asked if they could squeeze one more at the table. I looked at the table and it would barely hold 4, let alone the 5 that I made a reservation for. The hostess was so unaccomodating and said that is impossible could not do it. She would not even ask the manager or see what she could do. At least tell us a time where you could accomodate our party that night. I asked her if she could try to find us a table since we were on time for our reservation, but the people at the table had not even received their check. She said it was only a little after 8 and said it was not her problem that the table was not ready. She was not apologetic and did not even try to accomodate us. We walked out and went to an even better and more fun BYOB. The hostess spoiled our experience there before we could even try the food.

food good...rushed service
appetizer and entree was fine, but felt that we were being rushed to eat and move on. a shame, really, because it took away from the whole experience. probably won't go back.

Amazing food, poor service
We went to Branzino Saturday night for the first time. The food (minus the dessert) was absolutely amazing - the striped bass was one of the best meals I've ever had out. The atmosphere was quaint. A little too small (the bathroom are right next to a table), but the building was old and they did they best they could. The service, however, was so poor that I'll never go back. There was an incredible amount of confusion over our request for a bucket of ice for the drinks we brought, as well as 2 glasses per person: one for water, one for our cocktails. The busser forgot to bring water for 3 of the people in the party, despite being asked many times. He also forget to refill our ice even after being asked 4 times. We eventually brought the manager over who stood at the table and stared off into space. His response to our complaint was "hmm, I'll have to look into that" and then he continued to stare into space. That was it. His attempt to make it up to us was to bring - before we ordered dessert - 2 slices of chocolate cake for 6 people. When the busser brought the cake over everyone was really confused - no one explained they were on the house. I ordered the chocolate cake for dessert (in addition to those the mgr gave us) and it was poor. It was so freezer burned and tasteless. It was such a shame that the appetizers and dinner were unbelievable and the service was poor enough that we'll never go back.

Very Disappointed
Our meal was extremely mediocre. Fish was dry and bland, lamb shank was small and bland, sides looked and tasted like they came out of frozen box. To top it off it was the most expensive BYOB we've been to. The good news, there are so many other good BYOB's in Philly.
