    My daughter 18th bday

I took my daughter for breakfast at Cafe Harlem for her 18th bday on May9, 2009. The cafe was decorated beautifully with fresh floweres for Mothers day. It was exactly what I was looking for, I wanted something really nice that would be memorable for her. When the waiter found out it was her birthday they brought out a piece of cake and sang happy birthday. We ejoyed her celebration and will definetly go back.

    great food though!

i had a chance to have brunch there for my b-day and it also was my cousin's engagment party, the food was just amazing, the wonderful chicken over the rice the bread pudding the whipped sweet potatoes, the fried chicken and not to mention the grits! the only thing that was not on the buffet was waffles to go with the chicken but next.time. theservice wasn't bad but the older ladies that work there just did'nt really speak to you politely! it wasn't horrible but it just reminds me of loud almost rude church ladies sellings dinners out of the church.just did'nt really know how to be professional, but over all i can over look that ,for a good meal, try guys it's good!

    A Wonderful Experience

I just wanted to share my wonderful experience. On Saturday, May 3, 2008, my sister and I held a retirement dinner for our father at Café Harlem. The event was handled in a very professional manner - a contract was signed and deposit required. There were close to 25 guests in attendance. The food was excellent the environment was charming and elegant as always the staff was attentive and gracious. Our guests raved about the food - I believe that Café Harlem now has more than 20 new dedicated customers. We are thankful that Café Harlem was able to make this special event for my father so memorable. I would definitely recommend Café Harlem for any event, and encourage all who are interested in having a great soul food experience to visit.

the best place for soul food

My family and i recently went to eat at the Cafe Harlem. It was 12 of us and we had a wonderful time. My mother still talks about the food and the desserts. We had many things including the ribs, baked and fried chicken, baked salmon, fried flounder, and steak. Everyone the our party was full and happy when we left. My aunt talks about the home made desserts and how the cake remind her of my grandmother's cakes. The food was reasonablly priced and the place was clean, with the great smell of food and spices. However, there was only one waitress and she had other tables, but our wait was no longer than we have waited at other restaurants. I highly recommend the cafe.
