Slow but Satisfying
I always say it... it's not zippy-quick BUT it's well worth the wait. Every drink and dish is carefully crafted and the lack of haste accounts for the exquisite quality on your plate and in your cup. My favorite drink is actually their hot chocolate with chocolate syrup imported from Belgium. Cafe L'Aube has the funky feel of Grad Hospital/South St but is usually a bit quieter. The only thing I didn't like was their metal chairs and tables BUT they bought some new ones so it's all good. Finally, the service - EVERYONE at Cafe L'Aube is friendly, especially the owner, and will entertain you will some serious conversation.

Great food and coffee!
I recently came here for breakfast and enjoyed great coffee and the best croque monsieur ever! Lots of menu options for a little cafe, and the most expensive item is only $7, so it's a bargain for a satisfying French breakfast!
