Once seated, we waited over 20 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order and even show up at the table. We placed our dinner order when she first showed up and specifically said to bring the salad WITH the entrees. We sat down at 7:30 and received water at 8 pm, salad at 8:30 and our dinners at 9:00 pm! She never once checked on us and I had to track her down in the restaurant five times. Had I not gotten up to find her, we wouldn't have been out of there before 10 pm. The mediocre food in no way makes the horrendous service worthwhile.

It is a cute place and perfect for a causal quick bite. The only problem is it is not quick. At 8:30 at night we order two simple pasta dishes and when we finally gave up and was walking out our meals suddenly arrived. The staff was friendly but there is not enough staff to handle the resturant and it was only half full.

My son and I had dinner on a Wednesday night. Our waiter was surly and rarely available when we needed him. The guests at the next table ordered the stew and the waiter brought them boullabaise. When they said they had the wrong entree, the waiter argued with them vehemently until the accepted their meal. I still had the menu and could see that they were two different meals, but the waiter was having none of it. Will probably not go back although the food was excellent. It should have been a wonderful meal.

I think you'll find the service is not an issue. There are two servers on, most nights, and the food is excellent, and so is the atmosphere, both here and at the more formal Il Positano down the street. A disclaimer, I'm in the"lovely jazz trio" mentioned in the previous review. We have moved to Wednesday nights.

Service very poor and slow. Waiting for 4 others to arrive, we were ignored - no water, drinks. When guests arrived we still waited quite a while. When my wife asked for bread she was told "it comes with the salad" which took another 10 minutes. Two of us had the ceasar salad which was bitter and not good. Most entrees were quite good and a good value. One diner asked for parmesan on her entree. After the waitressgave it to her she quickly sped away so the rest of us had to beg for ours.One guest ordered a crab seafood pasta dish. When she told the server there was no crab in it,the waitress pretty much ignored her. Evidently they were out of crab so eventually offered 4 dollars off. Could and should have been a good meal. They were not crowded and had a lovely jazz trio playing.
