    A decent little cafe

This is definately a decent little place. I have been here on numerous occasions and though the food is not outstanding, it is *good* , if perhaps a tad overpriced. But I like the atmosphere, I always end up with a nice glass or bottle of wine and for lunch downtown, I am always pleased. I would not give it a five star rating, but a 3.5 or 4 would do.

    Service is poor

Do not take your business meeting here- you will regret it! Service people are extremely rude- not elegant or refreshing the way it ought to be.

    Good value for lunch

Went for late lunch. The croque monseiur was pretty good, as was the salad that came with it. My girl ordered the chicken and spinach sandwich, though the goat cheese seemed to be missing. The fries with the sandwich were top notch. Crepe dessert was filling and the latte topped off a nice late lunch!

Great meal at a great place

Had a great meal here last summer, and can't wait to go back! The actual restaurant is as close to Paris as one might encounter in Philly (Rittenhouse Square restaurants included!). The food was held up to the same standards, and proved to be of fine value, even if the portions were slightly skewed towards the small end. Still-- for sitting outside and people watching while enjoying a stellar meal-- this place is hard to beat!

    Affordable bistro

Caribou has bistro classics like steak frites and poulet roti, a decent wine list and a good location in downtown Philly. It's a good place.
