very good meal
I found the food to be very good. I had pasta and seafood. The sevice was great. I will be back.

Meh. it could be (or was) so much better
The food here is hit or miss. one time i had the best pesto that i had ever had anywhere here and the next time i had the pesto it was oily and gave me the runs. their crab dishes have always been eh but their pasta tends to be good. I grew up and live around the corner, so i've had many opportunities to eat there. very italian american, not italian, so if you like both or option a, you should enjoy this place. I definitely have brought groups here and mostly everyone has enjoyed it. I just rarely go out for italian food except for a few standbys.

A Jewel in South Philly
A wonderful trattoria in a nice neighborhood of South Philly. John, the owner and his wife go out of their way to accomodate you. The menu is excellent, but the kitchen will also prepare anything you ask for. A simple "tonight I'm in the mood for..." will do. Cent'Anni is a great dining experience at a great price.

Overall good experience
All 4.5's because I would never not leave room for improvement! Good food, wine and service... What else does one need?
