Champagne

The room was dirty from the party the night before. The DJ was an hour late! The server that I was promised never showed up. The drinks were costly and watered down. To top off this experience was the platters...frozen small piece of fish, cold fries, a wingding portion drum stick & a small cup of coleslaw. No manager was there and when trying to reach her - no answer! Total embarrassment!

Where do I start? Having worked in the hospiality industry for over 25 yrs there are certain things you become accustom to and certain expections as well. Having booked a party that began at 4:00 p.m. we arrived and was told that they had just opened. We were told we could go up stairs in a few minutes a short time later our hostess escorted us upstairs(But, not before stopping to tell her co-worker about the great night she previously had.) As we made our way up the worn,dirty,stained carpets our room was dark and had floor to ceiling mirrors and three tables did have cloth on them. I had the pleasure of wiping down a table for me an my son so that the dried food wouldn't stick to us. This establishment supplied us sithe one waitress and one bartender to server well over 50 people. One of the final straws was I order food for my son and it took 20 minutes and It would have taken longer if I had not gotten the attention of the waitress. At no time did we ever see a manager nor did anyone ever check to see if service was up to par. In short the food was lousy, the service was poor, and I will never use or recommend this place to anyone and I will tell my friend to avoid it like the plague.

Champagne''s is the best place to party, eat, relax, socializing...the #1 spot in Phila. The owner's are always showing their appreciation...and they give back to the community. What I appreciate about the owners is that they ALWA YS make time to stop at your table and ask how you've and the family been. They make sure that your experence there is to your likng. They always ask is everything ok. And always say thank you for coming and your support. The Queen of the business always wears a radiant smile and the King be wearing some sharp hats...Hats off to you two keep doing what you do and I'll keep coming back. Your parties are off the HOOK and your food keeps the belly FULL and me coming back..my favorite platter the CONFUSE PLATTER (thats a platter with a little bit of everythng). All should try it! Thanks you guys your the best....#1 fan!

I had a joint birthday party at Champagne's on January 23rd and I had a great time. The drinkns were great, the music was great and the food was on point. My young urban professional guest really liked the atmospehere, especially in comparison to other places that we frequent in Olde City. I loved it and I'm thinking about the next affair that I can have there!

When people I know are coming to Philly from out of town and want to know where to go for a good time, I tell them about Champagne! Champagne has the best wait staff in the city..plays the best music..and serves the best food! It's been like that for years!

there is a group of us who get together just about every Friday. We all gether at Champagne's, the food, drink and atmosphere are wonderful. The DJ on Fridays only adds to the fun. I have to give a special shout out to the staff who make us keep coming back for more. if you are looking to get your conversation, eating, drinking on, come to Champagne's you won't be disappointed. keep up the good work.

Overall, I had a very postive experience! The servers were very nice and speedy with replenished my drinks. Also, the folks that were at the bar were a mix of intellectuals - both blue collar and white collar! I strongly encourage anyone that is into the major african american bar scene to check this place out at least once! Also, the ladies were freindly, approachable, and non-pretentious which made it even more of an interesting place!
