Charlie's Hamburgers

It is simple. There are many kinds for burgers from Gourmet to buffalo but for the simple burger with cheese and a toasted bun you cannot, cannot, cannot beat Charlies. My kids make me drive a good distance every weekend for Charlies and it does not take much persauding. I am all in,

I grew up with them. Moved away and always go back.

Kindof a dive but has character. Burgers are fantastic. Shakes are awesome - tough to screw up a milkshake if you use real ice cream and milk. Burgers are fantastic.

I've lived within walking distance of Charlies my entire life. When I was a kid I would ride my bike up and get a cheeseburger and it was great. Now as an adult, charlie's has lost its appeal. The burger's are too small, and if you order a few to try to get full you're essentially getting full from the buns, the lady who works there is impersonal, and there are no sides (no fries, no onion rings, nothing). If you are from this area then you understand the uniqueness of a place like Charlies, considering there aren't any other burger places around besides typical fast food places (mcdonalds, wendys, BK), but once you grow up and travel outside of macdade boulevard you will realize the world has better burgers to offer than Charlies little pea shooters.

Sadly, I no longer live near Charlie's, but when I visit down there, I always stop in. The food is tasty, the people friendly, and the prices don't put a big dent in my wallet.

From coast to coast, I've never had a better burger than this. Unbelievable, and that's quite a compliment from someone who lives and grew up in Philly.

The best burgers in the world hands down they are awesume..BYOF bring fries from mcdonalds because they only have burgers and shakes but its well worth it.
