Great food, small, byob
Try their other restaurant in Blue Bell. The food is great at both locations, they are BYOB, prices are comparable, but Blue Bell location is bigger. Good thai food at both places.

Greatest place, ever!
I am absolutely hooked on Chiang Mai! Although I live in Delaware Co, it's just a short jaunt to Conshohocken to visit this lovely little gem of a place. I've had Thai food in more places I can name but Chiang Mai has never disappointed. It's small, quaint, romantic, and the service has been nothing less than outstanding. The wait staff always has a big smile, will prepare your food to your liking, and has never been less than 100% attentive. It has always seemed to me that the other Thai resturants on the Main Line are snotty in their attitudes towards their customers which is totally opposite the quiet graciousness of the Thai people. No restaurant is perfect but this one goes out of their way to cater to your needs and does so with a big smile. Even their daily $7.95 lunch special is a lot of bang for the buck and every meal I've had has always been fantastic. Aside from the positive things I've said about Chiang Mai, I really am amazed at how Conshohocken is slowly becoming a trendy place, a destination. There are many nice little eating places along the first few blocks of Fayette St. that I will be trying soon. They all seem to be doing quite well judging from the number of people I see going there for food and drink.

Do not recommend
If you are very patient and forgiving, then the food is delicious, compliments to the chef. If you are not though, it is an awful experiece. The service is very slow during the busy hours. The customer is not right. The server argued with me that I only ordered vegetarian soup, and not the whole meal. Common sense is not common place here. Furthermore, there is no Thai ambiance, it is a converted rowhome with pictures on the walls.

Great little BYOB
I have eaten here 3 times and gotten take out a few times as well. Best pad thai I've ever had! The other entrees I've had were okay but the pad thai is my personal favorite. Chicken satay is very yummy too. The servers are always very friendly and attentive. Comfortable atmosphere. Quiet, quaint. I love this place!
