Hoagie Lovers Haven
This place makes the best hoagies I've ever eaten. My only issue is that during busy times they have been known to run out of bread! I wish there were more places whose employees care so much about quality work and quality food.

Don't buy the chefs salad
Overpriced for a container full of lettuce and 6 grape tomatoes. The turkey and ham are the ENDS of the lunch meats. My past experience is the ends are normally discarded, not sold. Also, every chefs salad I've ever bought contains a hard boiled egg. Not this one. A very big disappointment for the price.

The best
When you want to impress out-of-towners who want something besides a cheesesteak or just want an amazing sandwich, this is your place. This is the quintessential Italian deli of the Italian market area and the best there is. I've been coming here since i was a kid and it is my top sandwich place in Philadelphia. I'm not a vegetarian, but the veggie is probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Fried tomato special also can't be beat with turkey. If you haven't been, try it.

Just . . . wow.
Everything I've ever had there has all those little touches that make this a magical little gem in South Phila. Yeah, there's no place to sit, but it's a 1 1/2 serving hoagie anyway. You only get the true experience by getting a large on the Sarcone's seeded roll. Try your favorite, try something new, try their roast pork. I know I will. Even something as simple as a turkey hoagie with onions that are sliced to .5mm thick & with no bite was one of those moments where I was so glad I'd moved to Philadelphia. God I'm going to miss this if I ever move away.

Cant Live Without Them
This place makes hoagies the way they should be made. These people have pride in what they do. I love their sandwiches, especially the Chickie's special and the veggie hoagie. Go Chickie's.
