We had been going to the Chickie's and Pete's on the Blvd. because we lived in the far Northeast. We thought the food was good and the service was fine as well. However, when we recently bought a house in Tacony we were told that nothing compares to the greatness that is the original Chickie's and Pete's. We went on a Sunday afternoon and perhaps that was our first mistake. Our waiter was slow and inattentive and the food arrived quickly but completely cold. It was so strange. Secondly, they only take cash. That is fine but there was no sign and no one told us that in the beginning. We were told that we could go to the cash machine there. However, obviously, were charged a fee to use it. Not a great experience and we are afraid to go back. Sadly, we would be regulars cause we live really close.
