A Philly must!
Really can't understand the grounds for any of the negative reviews below. Food was Asian fusion at it's finest, the cocktails delicious and the service excellent. We're only in town for the weekend and the waitress was happy to give us some great recommendations for the rest of our break. A great slice on New York style Asian-fusion dining at Philly prices. A real must for anyone who likes great food in a lively atmosphere.

Peruvian food??
I cant believe I spent so much money on such disapointment. This isn't real Peruvian food let alone Chifa. Chifa is a fusion of Peruvian Criolla food and Chinese (cantonese) food and this, isnt it. Not worth it if you want REAL Peruvian food.

Adaptable and Courteous
Quality, friendliness and over-all welcoming - that's what I will tell people about Chifa. We did tasting menus for our party - and some of our guests had very specific food allergies. Normally, this elicits a rolling of the eyes, but not our server - nor apparently the kitchen. Celiac? Nut allergy? No problem - dishes were suggested or modified. Thank you! We'll be back many more times.

Very happy with our meal
Best fried rice and scallops i ever had , the chicken was great and the atmosphere was not that crazy. The fries were very good and they make good mojitos. Will def go back!

good cheecha
I had lunch with my son in the bar area on Sat. July 3rd. The place was quiet as was the city which makes me leary, like we caught them off gurad. The room had a nice vibe even though it was virtually empty. We chose to sit in the bar area. The service was promt and courteous, the bartender was doing double duty and waited on us. The Cheecha Moradas were very good. The food was tasty but sparse and a little pricey.

no way, jose
Disappointing. The incredible noise level was unbearable and spoiled the night. The worst of Garces' restaurants. The food was different and I liked it, but it couldn't make up for eating in what sounded like the Broad Street Subway.

Very good
I've been twice, and both times I left quite satisfied with the food, service, and ambiance. Since it opened, the menu seems to have drifted more toward the Asian and away from the Peruvian, but the dishes are still really tasty. The mushroom-pot-pie-type thing is probably my favorite. My only real complaint is that the cocktails cost at least 25% more than they really ought to, given their so-so quality.
