    I like it

Went here for a welcome lunch with my old company. The food is excellent for American style Chinese. I have lived in "hooded environments" like SW philly, and believe me when I say this place is EXCELLENT! If you want the real deal Hollyfield, though, you gotta go to Chinatown. But when I'm working downtown, this is my Chinese place of choise. On the higher end of 4.5 stars.

    Pretty Good

Pretty good takeout, and fast delivery. The leftovers don't heat up well. Egg rolls are awesome. Beef with broccoli above average.

    Extremely fresh!

I love this place. The food is excellent and delivery is usually quick. The Kung Poa Chicken is my favorite, along with the Veggie Dumplings. Great flavor is everything and all of the veggies are cubed and really crisp, never over done and soggy. I highly recommend this place. BTW, I have lived in Philly for years and tried all of the restaurants in this price point....go to City Garden, you won't regret it! : )

    Good but not Great

Goopey Garden, as we prefer to call it, has high quality food but the sauces used are very "corn starchy" and the girl at the front counter is not the friendliest.

    Okay for deliver

I usually get delivery from here. The food overall seems to have a lot of oil. And I think there's MSG in here as well. So far the appetizers I've gotten are better than the main courses. I especially like the pork dumplings.
