Club House Diner
Posted by Anonymous on 01/28/2008
I been to this diner alot mostly in the morning between 8am an 11am and have had no problems. I had always liked the food and the service. I went around 2am and was waited on by a waitresswho gave me the worst service I have ever recieved at a restaurant anywhere. She served me a cold omelette and forgot the english muffin on top of that she kept looking back at my friend and I and laughing. She was sitting at the counter with what appeared to be a drunk customer and I think a staff member.

We always loved going to the Club House Diner but I'm not so sure when or if we will return.. The service is slow..... some food is overdone (pork and sourkraut recently) and care is no longer taken. I recently ordered their greek specialty (like lasagna but made with potatoes) and it tasted as if it had been frozen because the potatoes inside were deteriorated. They did attempt to make good on it by replacing it with lasagna (however the inside of that was ice cold). After two attempts, I gave up, paid my bill and left the establishment. The Luenes Family no longer owns this diner and the new people have to iron out their kinks yet.

This is a place that our whole extended family agrees on. They have a huge menu and a great wait staff and salad bar (except my father-in-law always tries to get me to eat the caviar. The only thing that would make it more enjoyable is if they went completely non-smoking.
