A very nice place to dine.
I really like the Country Club now that it has new owners. They really fixed it up nicely and the prices are more reasonable. It has a very nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. We go there often. And yes I do have to agree their chessecake is very good, however, I wouldn't recommend the lemon marrague pie.

Service went down
Service went down since the old man died. It is part of a chain in a declining part of a declining region, and the service reflects it. One old bat said leaned over my wife and reached across the table to fetch her tip saying, "gimme my money" and she had a scowl the whole time she waited on us. And we waited. Left her two ones. Shouldn't have left her anything. She seemed angry that the fellow working as maitre de even brought us to her table on her station. Pastry and cheesecake might be good, but we left after our main entrees and din't want dessert. Having her serve it would have been no dessert at all.

What more could you want.
At 12:00 am a toasted bagel with lox, cream cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onion, delicious. They've added capers in the 10 years I've been gone, wow. A Northeast institution. Long live the Country Club! Where else you gonna go?

Great Diner
One of the best diners around.
