Country Club Diner

I had the meatloaf which wasn't that meaty and the gravy was watery. However the fries were good and the cake was awesome. The person I went with sent her flounder back because it was undercooked but she's ultra picky with food. The service was excellent. maybe the waiter hovered a bit much over us and came over at least 7 times to ask how things were. my meal came when my salad was half done. Still it was clean, price was right and the people were friendly.

I odered the meatloaf it was looked like dog food!! The prices here are very high and the food is poor!! Wont be returning here!!

We have been going to Country Club Diner for more than 25 years, especially for breakfast and/or lunch. We like the food and the restaurant, but Reene, our waitress, is what makes going there worthwhile. She is the best! Reene has a way of making everyone feel special, and nothing is ever too much trouble for her.

I had went there for breakfast and all I have to say is never again. The atmosphere was nice, but the rest was a bad experience. We had a table set up for eight people and all we'd gotten is a little round table and and the smallest long table they could find. My food was average and it was missing the rest of the portion. I am not one to complain, I am just one who won't do a repeat apperance again. I did enjoy the company I was with but I didn't enjoy the place I had breakfast!

I went there on Sunday night. Harldy any customers, but the young waitress disappeared. Ordered french onion soup and a "california burger". The soup itself was very greasy and tasted as if the base was chicken broth, and a bouillon at that. The burger platter was served on an undersize plate so that you had no room to sort out the food. The burger had half jar of roasted red peppers under the bun with lettuce and onions and a slathering of avocado mash on the bottom. The bun could not hold all the moisture in and became a soggy mess. Burger was more toppings then meat. I spoke to the manager and showed him the food. He apologized and was very nice. He took the food off the bill. Maybe it was any number of circumstances, but the food quality and presentation needs to be improved.

This Diner has the best Carrot Cake in the area. I have tried many and NONE measure up to the flavor and consistency of the Carrot Cake sold by the Country Club Diner. Definitely 5 star. Worth the travel!

My husband and I eat there at least twice a week. Food is good, restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and courteous. We love it!!
