Family brought home a "Tuna salad" if that's what they call it. It had to be the most pathetic looking salad I have ever seen. I guess throwing a few leaves of lettuce in there allows them to call it a salad. It was pretty much a scoop of tuna, two leaves of lettuce, an egg, beets(?!), and potato salad.

I used to work there when Mr. Perloff owned it. In fact it was the first job I had as a busboy. The service and food was excellent. The waitresses were friendly and really professional. Not now. The last couple times I was there the service was adequate. One time it was so bad we complained to the manager and it gave us another waitress.

My husband an I went in for breakfast..food came out fast and hot. Our server was pleasant and very on top of things. My coffee was never empty. Will go back again.

Just left and was really disappointed. I have been going there for years and it had always been one of my favorite diners, but not anymore. I had a meatball parm sandwich and it was horrible. I paid $8 and the sandwich consisted of two small meatballs cut in half, on a giant roll with some tomato sauce slapped on the top. The fries were cold and the waitress never came by after delivering my meal to check on me or refill my drink. I think that she was embarrassed by what she had served. Man, I can't believe how much they have gone downhill. Bummed.

I had the meatloaf which wasn't that meaty and the gravy was watery. However the fries were good and the cake was awesome. The person I went with sent her flounder back because it was undercooked but she's ultra picky with food. The service was excellent. maybe the waiter hovered a bit much over us and came over at least 7 times to ask how things were. my meal came when my salad was half done. Still it was clean, price was right and the people were friendly.

We have been going to Country Club Diner for more than 25 years, especially for breakfast and/or lunch. We like the food and the restaurant, but Reene, our waitress, is what makes going there worthwhile. She is the best! Reene has a way of making everyone feel special, and nothing is ever too much trouble for her.
