Went to Crinitis on new years eve and were very pleased. Our whole party enjoyed what they ordered and the staff was very nice. We will be going back.

Our first and last experience at Criniti's was disappointing. We were never offered a list of specials; didn't know they existed until we overheard another waiter reciting them for his table. I ordered Shrimp Scampi. Came out boiling hot. Shrimp was floured, sticky and over cooked. The dish tasted overwhelmingly of lemon with no garlic flavor at all and was a soupy mess. When it was time for dessert I wanted tiramisu and my husband wanted cannoli; they did not have either. The cheesecake and chocolate cake we settled for, they were taken out of a box.

I've been to Criniti's MANY times.......I guess you'd say they are one of the most decent Italian restaurants in So. Philly. I love their spaghetti with garlic and olive oil...........it's very bland, but once you add some salt and grated cheese to your liking, it's the BOMB! The spaghetti is pleasingly al dente too. I also like their shrimp parmagiana.......the shrimp is not breaded, but a good size and a good-tasting dish. My husband likes their mussels. I absolutely HATE their baked ziti.........it's lousy so don't ever get it..........the sauce tastes like they opened a can of tomato sauce and just dumped it on the dish......I've had dish twice over the years and each time it's just the same. The other thing I hate about Criniti's is that they do not give you a choice of salad dressing........all they give you is oil and vinegar...........you'd THINK that an Italian restaurant would at least have a nice Italian dressing!

I am not a person that is hard to please. However, it began with the house salad. Vinegar and oil offered only and not even balsamic vinegar. The veal parm my husband ordered was like cardboard. My broiled flounder was nothing more than fish on a plate and bland to the taste. I could have prepared the tiny dish of mixed veggies myself . Will never return.

Criniti's has been a favorite of mine for many years. My room mate in college suggested that I take my parents to her Uncle Benito's restaurant. I did and immediately loved it! Although it looks as though that the restaurant is now being run by a new generation of Crinitis, I'm sure that the quality is just the same, wonderful. Can't wait to visit!

If you want traditional, home cooked food, with taste and portions that will fill you up for two days, this is the place. Authentic Italian cooking at it's best. You'll never step food in a mass market "Italian" Restaurant after eating here. Ten year patron

Our friends took us to the restaurant, the atmosphere was very nice the waitresses were great, the food was awesome, if you love real authentic Italian cuisine you will love this place! My husband order takeout now and it's delicious every time. The prices are great too and they serve big portions. They also serve delicious bread with each meal.
