So disappointing
Cuba is merely mediocre and wildly over priced-we were obviously paying for the high rent of a Chestnut Hill restaurant. I don't mind paying a lot of money when the food makes it worthwhile. I have (honestly) had better Cuban food from a cart in a office highrise in Newark, NJ. First the portions are miniscule although the chef does get points for presentation. It was $9 for two plaintain empanadas that were mostly air, and the steak entree was bland and uninspiring. My pork entree was slightly better, but then pork has more flavor than beef to begin with. The flan was interestingthink quiche-like rather than custardy, but although I ordered the coconut, you could hardly tell. The atmosphere was nice dark, elegant but if it were crowded, which it wasn't, I could see that it may get a bit loud for intimate dinner conversation. If the meal for two was $50 rather than $78, I may have better things to say, but for the money, this place is definitely not worth it.
