Went here for lunch and I was very excited because I read up on this place prior to going. Well to my surprise this place was not good at allThe plush seat were not clean, the restroom smelled like an airplane restroom (which were unisex). The servers were pleasant, which was the only nice thing about the place because the food was below average. So very disappointing.

I found Derek's online and was impressed with the menu and the fact that you can BYOB even though they have a large wine list. I made a reservation well in advance, but my party of 8 had to wait almost 2 hours to be seated! When we got there we were told it would take only 10 minutes to be seated. We spoke to the manager numerous times and each time told us we would be seated shortly. He needs to learn how to set proper expectations. A little after 10pm we finally got our seat only to be placed right next to a DJ which was setting up for the night. The food was average and considering the poor service, I would NOT recommend this place. My night out with my friends was filled with frustration and mediocre food. The only good thing about the restaurant was the wine that WE brought!

This is the only bar/restaurant in Manayunk that features upscale food in a casual chic atmosphere. Awesome wine list and wine by the glass. You can actually have a conversation in the bar, the music isn't too loud. I love all of the food especially the spring rolls and the sdaily seasonal-organic specials. We can't wait for spring so we can sit outside with our dog. [The staff always brings water for the dog before the people!] Not a frat bar!

Great place for lunch. Haven't tried dinner there.
