Great Philly Beer Bar
This is a somewhat dead zone east of broad in south philly, but Devil's Den is a great stop over from the subway or center city. Extensive beer selection with microbrews from around the US as well as craft and imports. Staff is attentive and courteous. The menu lags a bit behind this otherwise stellar spot.

Give the menu some flavor
The beer selection is great (Although could add Bell's Porter as a regular.) The food menu, however, is lacking. The menu could use some hearty food. The place is huge and can really have a food-based menu with a kick-ass beer menu, but the menu had overcooked scallops (if you are going to offer scallops do them well and not drown them in this soupy mess.) The chicken fingers were decent, but the chicken sandwich was terrible with the exception of the fresh tomatos. Boost the food menu. The space is accommodating enough to really be a mainstay for South Philly because it is large and nice. However, you can't survive on beer alone. The food needs a reason to draw you to Devil's Den.
