Best Decaf Coffee Around
Very good place for breakfast! Love their decaf coffee, and the attentive wait staff cheerfully give refills. Belgian waffles are the best. Sausage is excellent, as is the bacon. Only complaint: the kitchen doesn't get "eggs over medium". They usually come out too "easy'. Thumbs up!!

Poor Menu
The menu at the Dinning Car is very limited. If your looking for a nice veal dish, you can forget it, its not offered. The food overall is just OK. The Dinning Car is one of those places that you either hate it or love it, I don't love it.

Dining Car Has Good Food
I like the Dining Car. I live in Prospect Park Delaware County but I do alot of business up in Northeast Philly and I always make sure I stop in when I'm up there.The food is good and you get alot for your money. I even made a special trip up there and took my family one Saturday night and they liked it very much. The only beef I have is that I wish they would start accepting Check & Credit Cards. Sometimes its a pain to make sure that I have enough cash on me,but besides that The Dining Car is excellent and worth the trip.

Poor Service
I have been going to the Dining Car for 29 years. For the last few months, their service has been getting worse. The last time I waited over an hour for food that required no preparation. I am never going there again

My Diet = Dining Car
I love the Dining Car. I frequent it constantly. Not only do I over indulge in the food I eat during my meal, but I'm also known to order additional meals to take home and enjoy in my basement with comfy clothes on. If anyone wants to join me, just throw on a pair of comfy clothes and don't forget the pork roll, egg, and cheese. Yee ha!

Good food Poor service
So I am new to Philly and wanted to go to a diner because I had heard about large portions of good home cooked food. Went in the late afternoon and the food was good but the service was poor! Had to wave down the server every time we wanted anything from taking our order to getting the check.
