Excellent & Romantic
The service and atmosphere is very friendly & romantic. I ordered the twin lobster tail special for the day and it was delicious! I also ordered a fried oyster appetizer and lobster mac & cheese, it was superb. I had a hard time ordering because I wanted everything on the menu!!! Go there it is a beautiful and romantic place with good food at affordable prices. Great courteous service as well!!

Has Potential to be Awesome
West Philly could definitely use an oyster bar and this could be an awesome business opportunity. A lot of Penn people I know commute to Oyster Bar in Center City for happy hours and dinner, and this place is strategically placed to do well. We went here for happy hour on a Friday evening. The beer prices were reasonable. The $1 oysters were great! I had the $5 fish taco. One taco (the waitress kindly warned me ahead of time). It was not a great taco -- flour tortilla, leftover-fish-of-the-day, some plain white rice. The guacamole was dark brown from oxidation and had no flavor. Easy fix: a little lemon juice or vinegar will keep guacamole from browning during service. I asked for water. I had one glass but it was never re-filled over the 2-3 hours we were there. The server was very nice but spent a lot of time talking to the manager/host so it was tough to get her attention. I eventually ordered a burger off the happy hour menu (because I did not feel like paying a high price for their menu items after the sub-par taco). It was an okay burger. Severely lacked flavor, but on the flip side wasn't too salty and was cooked to order. The fries tasted previously-frozen. $12 I guess that's what you get in the city. So not huge complaints on the burger. The place definitely has potential to be good. Maybe they should cut back the number of menu items and really do a knock-up job of just a few things. At one point we had 4 menus per person on our table... the offerings were tough to navigate thus we just stuck with happy hour. For the price, I would go to the restaurants nextdoor. Or to Oyster Bar in Center City.

Not worth it
Was with a group of people and not one of us was impressed with our meals. With 5 ofus, the check came to $215. Was not worth it. There a many other restuarants in WC that have much better food for a more reasonable price. The seafood at chain restaurants tastes better than this self-promclaimed oyster house. Huge Disappointment.

Take the extra time to go to the Oyster House
This place is substandard! We went there for buck a shuck night. The restaurant was not crowded but the hostess did not speak when she sat us and our waitress barely spoke or checked on us. I ordered clams on a half shell, they brought out little neck clams for 1.50 a piece! The menu did not specify the type of clam that they used; so one would assume they were top-neck or cherrystone for around that price. The best part is, the waitress got our order wrong on the receipt even though we were her only customer. When we asked her to correct it, again she did not say a word took the receipt changed it and dropped it back on the table. For the amount of money this place is, go to the Oyster House where you will get better service and better food.

Will never go back
Tried this new place and was extremely disappointed. Food was so so.. service was disappointing. There are so many better places to eat just doors away from this newbie. I wouldn't waste another dollar
