Haven't been to Dom's in three years, but...
...when I finally made it back, it was just as I remembered it and the food I picked up was fantastic for dinner last night. I usually don't comment but I read the other review while looking for their phone number and had to add some balance. Frankly, I am surprised the woman before me had such a negative experience! I have been eating Dom's seafood for over 20 years; my stepmother used to buy from them every weekend for our Sunday dinners and as an adult, I have continued the tradition. Whether calling ahead or walking in, the service has never been less than prompt and courteous, and the times when I've had Dom's cook the food for me have always been without disappointment. Its a bit perplexing that the woman above had not one but two bad experiences there... I've been a customer of Dom's for two thirds of my life and have *never* had a bad experience; to be honest, I'm pretty sure my stepmother (who was not only a perfectionist and a raging foodie, but also a woman who was so Victorian it was very possible she was the reincarnation of some long-ago royal) would have ever put up with poor service or poorly prepared food! It was annoying as hell as a kid, but the woman could spot bad food and bad people from the parking lot. I highly doubt she would have been a loyal Dom's customer right up until her dying day if there was anything unsavory or unacceptable about the place. I dare say, if it was so bad for this woman *both* times she went, perhaps the problem wasn't behind the counter as much as it was in front of it...

poor service
I dealt with attitude the first time I visited Dom's, and decided to give the place a second chance this past weekend. Not only do the women working there not want to wait on customers, they don't want to cook either. They seem to be ok to the customers who come in food that does not have to be prepared. I placed my order, and decided to add something else a minute later. I was rudely asked if I "wanted that cooked too", in addition to some eye rolling and huffing and puffing. As I was paying for my order, the woman who had initially waited on me decided to tell me that one of the main food items that I ordered was sold out and she forgot to tell me (luckily I had added an additional item). It's not like the place was crowded, and she had a smirk on her face telling me this as I was leaving. My boyfriend didn't hear her, and proceeded to put a $3 tip in their tip jar. And to top it off, the shrimp and crab legs that we ordered were very overcooked. The crab meat was stuck to the shells, and it was very difficult to eat them. NEVER AGAIN!
