Fricken' YUM!
I stopped by here after finding out that Jake's had closed already (they are located next door). I walked in and was greeted immediately by a friendly face, who introduced herself as Jamie. The menu is chalked on huge boards right above the food prep area, and was super easy to read. They have COUNTLESS options for a build-your-own pita or sandwich, which includes a super generous ability to chose every veggie they have as a topping (9 total!). Three main ingredients (protein, produce, and pour or dressings) give you endless sandwich combinations. It will take me a year to get through every possible one...I plan to. Their staple sandwiches on their menu are gourmet but edible for a non-foodie like me and belong in the pages of Savor or Bon Appetit. Salmon Croquette, Lamb Shawarma, Tofu BLT, Blackened Shirp Po' Boy, The Gobbler, the the Prosciutto & Melon, just to name a FEW. I didn't fancy a salad, but really enjoyed the looks of one that the woman was eating next to me. From the menu description it looked like the Pita Caesar. I have been four times since my sandwich last week. DO yourself a favor and get the hell in there! Take out is super fast too. <3
