Best in the area
Not perfect, but pretty good...better than tiffen. Delivery is slow, really slow, but they tell you. I placed an order the other day and the guy said an hour and 20 minutes...i live less than a mile away! But the food is consistantly good.

Hands Down Favorite Indian Place
I've had Ekta delivered at least 50 times in the past few years. Every part of town that I move to, they seem to deliver there. From my office in center city (my coworkers love when I order from Ekta - they've all declared it the best Indian in the city too) to my old place in the museum area, to my most recent two apartments in Northern Liberties, they are always super quick. I am vegetarian now (wasn't when i started eating Ekta), and they have the most satisfying veg food in the city. Their chaats in particular are fantastic. I keep trying to come up with a dish in particular to try, but they are all fantastic. I can only think of one time that it wasn't perfect and it was just a touch on the spicy side, but otherwise fantastic. So go for it. You can't go wrong here...

Boit Kabob or Lamb Leg
Good quality Indian food! Didn't know what i was eating, lol, but it was definetly ethnic. Nice meat, slightly overspiced but overall enjoyable.

good food, delivery guy eh...
I found a menu in my mail here in queen village. So I ordered for delivery and when I gave the delivery guy $20 on a $16.50 bill he assumed it was all for him. I asked for a dollar back and he said "you know we drive a long way to get here". If the distance is too far to make a fuss about your tip you shouldn't bring a menu this far away. The food is decent though.

Well Seasoned Food
Not since Darbar Grill have I had such well seasoned food. The portions are generous and they always provide something sweet to end the meal. Having spent 3 summers in my youth eating home made indian food, I know nothing can compare, but Ekta makes some delicious dishes.

wow
I have always been apprehensive to eat Indian food without someone who knows the cuisine well. I consider myself rather critical when it comes to dining. I was moaning with every bite - there are multiple layers of flavors with each bite. Truly an exotic experience.
