Jah bless El Jericho
This is truly a place created by the Gods themselves. Their weird cream salsa stuff is amazing and their torta sandwiches are just like my mexican mother would make if I had a mexican mother. One time we even saw a mariachi band perform wearing all baby blue tight fitting slacks and bloused shirts. this is the best mexican spot on 13th and ellsworth!!!

OKay food, not service
I went in with my mom and twins, I ordered a chile relleno which was good but the beans seemed to be going bad so the plate that we ordered for the twins of rice and bean was just left there, when we told the waiter she gave us attitude! the waiters poor service was really a shame she was talking about customers in Spanish which I understood since I'm Mexican. I will not be going back, If someone tell you that the beans or any food you serve them is spoiled then you apologize and ask the cooks to make sure it isn't before you keep on serving it to other customers!

I have been to many mexican joints across the United States and this is the best burrito I have ever had hands down anywhere. I go as often as I can.

Shrimp to die for!
I stumbled into El Jarocho completely unaware of it's awesome-ness. From the outside it didn't look too put together and while waiting in a pretty tight space, I assumed that the food wouldn't be that great. I was completely wrong! We ordered the Burrito Jarocho, Chipotle Style Shrimp, and the Mexican Style Shrimp. They were all simply delicious! The flavors of the tomatoes, chipotle, and other spices really stood out and we could tell that the everything was really fresh. The shrimp was nice and tender (well done but not rubbery). If you're not one for spicy food, stick with the Mexican Style Shrimp. While it is packed with lots of flavor it doesn't have a lot of heat and the refried beans add a creamy texture to dish. Another thing we noticed was the huge portion sizes (1 dish can feed two people). El Jarocho has definitely earned its high ratings! Check it out!
