Use to be well made good quality food...
The red curry was alway edible but now a days it's so spicy that I couldn't even eat a bite, ordered it couple of times and they refuse to keep it mild like it use to be five months ago around mid 2012... I told the lady on phone and she said I should just order something else next time onwards- how rude!! Sadly I have to find a different Thai place after five long years.

Poor food and worse service
All the food we got served had chicken in it, despite CLEAR and multiple requests for all vegetarian food. Then, they use cucumber in all dishes in the midst of an E.coli scare. We really had no time to wait for another set of food to be made and go pick it up again. They would not even give us our money back and the waitress on the phone is completely incapable of handling herself in a respectful manner towards a customer. She just over speaks you with with her broken English! There is enough good Thai food in Philadelphia - do not waste your time and money like we did.

yummy yummy in my tummy
Time and time again the food is consistantly great. I only get yellow curry here because it is done perfectly- anywhere else and it just doesn't pack the same delicious flavor. Most of the appetizers are good, especially the crispy springs rolls and chicken satay. Pair the food with a Thai iced tea and you're sure to be pleased. Prices are more than reasonable and with it being a byob it's a keeper on my list. Keep up the good work Erawan!!

Outstanding
I absolutely love Erawan. Especially their drunken noodles with beef. The steamed pork dumplings are also to die for. The Massaman curry and spring rolls are excellent as well. My only complaint is that each item could stand to be about a dollar cheaper. Even so, Erawan's easily the best Thai restaurant between Broad and 40th. (Oh, and delivery's very fast and courteous. And free. Also, my experiences actually eating at the restaurant have never been anything but great.)

This is a neighborhood favorite. Great food.

Definitely worth checking out
Erawan's slightly less good now than it was before the relatively recent change in management. But it's still the best Thai restaurant I've ordered from in the Rittenhouse area. My only real problem with them is that their prices tend toward the unreasonable. I mean, $5 for three spring rolls? Come on. (They are really delicious, though.)

Delivery Fiasco!!
So we ordered 2 dishes and an appetizer. Took over an hour to deliver. Then we started eating the appetizer and noticed there was no shrimp in our spring. No biggy. But then we open our main dishes and they were completely wrong. Funny thing is that the receipt was correct. We called and the first girl didn't speak enough English to help so she had to put a manager on. The manager would not be accommodating and exchange our dishes in a timely manner. She banned us from ordering from the restaurant again. Funny thing is they are the ones that messed up. We've never had such poor service from a restaurant before. It was their mistake!
