totally not worth it
This is one of the most mediocre places I've eaten at in a while. The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. I got the beef kabobs and all it was was a two skewers of beef, no veggies, over half a bowl of rice and it was $13! the tables are set so low that it's impossible to actually use them to eat. My friend had to put the plate on her lap to eat her food. There was one waiter handling the entire store. The worst part is that the place was so dark that when I entered, everyone was watching me waiting for me to trip over something. I like to see what I eat, if not I start to think there's something wrong with the food.

dont waste ur money here
i never complain about food and i usually dont go online and rate places that often but i had to do this one because it was that bad. the service was also slow and we only got 3 course meal instead of 7 and at the end we were overcharged.

One of the best in Philly
I have been eating at Fez for years and keep coming back for the great food and atmosphere. The owners and servers are courteous and friendly. The food can't be beat if you are looking for Moroccan food especially the chicken with some secret recipe for the sauce which I can't figure out but I can't stop eating. I strongly disagree with the other reviews posted here as probably they just caught the waiter on an "off" night as usually one can't complain about the service. I would highly recommend eating at Fez any day of the week especially the weekend when they have the belly dancers and fixed course meal.

Fez has gone downhill !
We had been to this place several times before and it was great, this time we brought some friends and I was mortified! Food is still great but service was terrible: 15 minutes waiting for soda then we were told they were out of coke, we saw a couple of people sit down and then leave because no one was coming out to even take their order, also saw 3 different groups being asked to get up and change tables. The belly dancer never showed up in time for us to see her. Waiters would walk by and not take away a pile of dirty dishes on our table. We picked up the tab (quite expensive too) because I was embarrassed to have taken our friends there. I wish I could contact the owner and tell him they had a nice place (great chef) but no management whatsover. I agree with Anonymous before, it was not a good experience!

Poor service
Truly one of the most poor experiences I've ever had at a restaurant-and I eat out 3-5 nights a week. We called ahead to make reservations for 6 people. After arriving and waiting 10 minutes we ready to order and still had no water, no drinks, and had not ordered. We finally ordered and were then asked to move to another table to accommodate a larger party than ours. Another 15 minutes went by and we still don't have our "jerusalem cabernet", which turned out to be woodbridge for $30 (mind you it's an $8 bottle retail and we were not made aware of the change in wine from what was listed on the menu). The waiter offered no apology and seemed surprised we were annoyed. Now it's been 35 minutes and we still have no food (mind you it's a pre-fix menu, and the first course is salads that are surely prepared prior to our arrival.)

You should go!
Great food and a great atmosphere. Go hungry. Wednesday night is free hookah night with prix fixe 7-course dinner. Such a bargain for the price!
