Wonderful brunch
We had a party of 5 who ate at Figs last Sunday. We each had a different entree and enjoyed it immensely. I tried sharing mine but everyone was so full they didn't partake. I definitely thought it was worth the money. It was also raining and we were arriving separately but the host was very gracious about giving two of us a table while we waited for the others. We loved sitting there, chatting and enjoying the Moroccan hot tea-fresh and minty! I thought this was a great find on Menupages-a neighborhood restaurant just up from the Perelman Building so we spent the rest of the day there and then easily walked over to the main building of the Phila. Museum of Art. (There's also a trolley.)

Disappointment
Had reservation for 8 PM, got seated 45 minutes later. The Mediterranean Caesar salad was plentiful but consisted only of lettuce with tiny amount of dressing. The "crispy" duck was not crispy, had two large lumps of fruit bread but only tiny slivers of duck. The spinach was tasty. The place was incredibly crowded, noisy and service was very slow. Overall, a disappointment.

Very Nice Experience
We had dinner with friends after a visit to the Art Museum. Service was responsive - immediately attentive to uncorking wine, explaining menu, and service was just right - not too rushed; no inordinate delays. Special of the night was a crusted salmon which two of our party enjoyed immensely; other entrees were very nice. Salads were nicely dressed, albeit a tad skimpy. The scallop appetizer was PERFECT. Desserts were tasty and more than adequate to be shared. We will definitely return.

Been there many, many times
I have eaten here probably 100 times and have taken and sent many others. The food is well prepared and a great value. The service is straight foward and competent. We and others are always happy after our meal.

Rude service, menu never changes
We have lived in the Fairmount area since 1996. When Figs first opened, it was charming and different. The staff was familiar with the neighbors and regulars. Having been in the service industry myself, I have a high tolorance for an unfortunate evening. After warmly greeting a 2 person staff that we thought appreciated our business in the past, the " gentleman" snarled at us, " we didnt know what you were doing just sitting there for a 1/2/ hour." Total attitude. I apologized for any miscommunications as I had friends and co- workers with me, the lady was nice, the food HEAVY and loaded with rich creme sauces. The tea was great and I will miss it as we will NEVER go back to Figs again. There are plenty of great restaraunts that appreciate thier clients in this economey. We will spend our quid elswhere. Shame on Figs.

figs is my fav
Figs is delicious. My boyfriend and I come here all the time and have never been disappointed. I didn't eat seafood at all until I tried my boyfriend's tuna. Now I order that everytime I go because it is so delicious in the banana curry sauce! The steak is also amazing and the pasta was good too(tried a friends)... The apps are deliciously different than the normal apps you are offered out... You might have a little wait as they seem afraid to not book reservations but it is worth it!

Great experience
I went there twice, and both times had a really good time. The first time my friend and I just ordered salad and a bunch of appetizers, all of which were great. The second time I actually had an entree (the duck), which was very good. Next time I'll have to try dessert (I was too full the other times). The only thing you have to be aware of is that the restaurant is cash-only, but they told us that as soon as we walked in the door, so it wasn't an issue. The service was very good as well. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it.
