Visiting from L.A. and found an wonderful restaurant. The mushroom soup was outstanding. We had 2 bowls. Veal Sweat bread was flavorful. The slate was delicious. Olive bread was freshly baked. Staff was friendly. Plating was artistic. Cozy ambiance.

Fond is the prototype of the restaurant renaissance on East Passyunk Avenue. Small menu, but everything is delicious. Mushroom soup is a must have. Loved the short ribs. A BYOB. it is noisy and a bit cramped, but worth a visit. Tip--don't get an early reservation or you will be rushed to make room for the next customer. Better to eat around 9PM when no one else is waiting to get your table. Reservations are difficult so forget about dropping in off the street.

4 of us had dinner last nite, each one thought place was outstanding. Food was creative, in it's taste, quality and presentation. Servers were wonderful, food came up promptly, great nite, except that I parked on Passyunk Ave and got a ticket at 8:30pm. Place is just a little noisy, need some soundproofing on the walls and ceiling.

Food: Very tasteful and full of flavor. Portions were large. Highly recommend the Corn Risotto. Amazing!! Atmosphere: Nicely done. Love the colors and lighting (however it might be too dimly lit for some people). Comfortable. Service: Perfect. Value: Very reasonable priced. I'm excited to go back and bring more friends!!

The food and service at this attractive new restaurant was thoroughly impressive. There were five in our party and we all loved our beautifully presented, delicious meals. Our waiters were friendly and attentive, making this a most enjoyable evening. I look forward to my next meal there as there were other appetizers, entrees, and desserts that I can't wait to try!
