The food was excellent. I went with the Ziti Vodka, and it was made to perfection. I was impressed by the low prices and the great family atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming. Make sure to go here!

I have been ordering and dining at Gino's since I was a young girl. I went from frequenting with my parents, grabbing lunch with friends, and now my boyfriend and I honestly order take out once a week. If you're looking for a "real meal" their entrees are amazing, or if you're looking for some bar fare this is the place to go. Their pizza is my favorite in the neighborhood, their salads are great, cheesesteaks too. Have to recommend penne vodka, shrimp Fra diavlo, and chicken picatta. Those are some of my many favorites. I enjoy dining there too, you are almost always going to run into someone you know, the waitresses are friendly, and the food is enough to make you want to come back all the time! Thumbs up to my favorite neighborhood spot! Wish they would open on Sunday's!! :)

We showed up on Aug. 6th with a party of 15 people with no reservation, just dropped in. We were greeted warmly by the hostess/manager and settled in with the barmaid serving up some cold ones. My 86 year old father, Karl, had just given us a tour of his childhood birthplace and subsequent homes from 2nd & Girard to Princeton Av. He chose to take us to dinner at someplace very special. Not because he had eaten there before or that he'd heard that the food was excellent. It was because it was the location of the Hauser family's last bakery on Frankford Av. I want to thank the entire staff for the unforgettable reunion we had there. The food was excellent, especially the Eggplant Parm and I recommend the Cheese Steak Pizza. We all left feelng very satisfied and really taken care of. I especially want to thank the waitress that returned to Dad's table, when she saw the extra large tip that was on the tray. It seems he had left a little extra and she wanted to make sure. Well Dad looked at her and said "I think I may have made a mistake". What would have been an extra $60 tip was returned. That unselfish act of kindness is what really stays with me now and was much appreciated by my father. Thank you Gino's!

Whether it be take out or a sit down, you always get the best for your dollar. Friendly and with a smile service. Food portions more than adequate and always savory.

I was there 2 days ago (June 22, 2011), and as usual the food, service and prices were great. The soft Italian music is so good that customers should pay for it. Gino's is so good that should be made a landmark like the Liberty bell or Independence Hall, for real.... for me is Philadelphia's best... 5 STARS FOR GINO'S ON FRANKFORD AVE.

Pretentious pretending to be more than it really is.

I love Gino's they have the best pizza and food in Mayfair. Eat in, take out or ordering their food is great! Their prices are a little higher than most other restaurants in the area and the restaurant is kinda small but the employees are wonderful, you can even sit at the bar in the front and get a drink! Its one of our favorite places to order from, the Steak pizza is amazing and all their entrees are delicious! HIGHLY recommended!
