    Simply Great

Had been to restaurant when it was Valentinos and returned to try with new owner after show at Walnut on a Sunday. Just wonderful says it all. We tend to go out for the experience and love to try new places in Phila. The wait staff was easily engaged in conversation as was the owner. The food ranks among the top of any restaurant we have been to in Phila. Three of us tried pasta dishes and one chicken. All were excellent. Service was very good and staff friendly. Best of luck to Jo-Jo (hope I got the name right). Another big plus is the BYOB.

    Simply amazing!

I went to Giorgio's for a friends bachelorette. We had a group of 8 and they were happy to accomodate our party and do everything they could. Giorgio himself called me and the day before our reservation and checked on our table frequently. The atmosphere was quaint and quiet which was a nice change from the other 'hopping' restaurants in the neighborhood. The food was all fresh and homemade pasta! So delicious. And the dessert was delectable! I'm so impressed, I'm writing from the restaurant!

    Outstanding, authentic food

My husband and I went there with a group of friends tonight for a late dinner after a concert at the Kimmel Center. The place is tiny and loud (that's why I only gave it a 4.5 for atmosphere, but the food was fantastic!!!!! I ordered the Caprese Salad as an appetizer which was perfection, and Veal Prosciutto for my entree and that was excellent. the owner, came by to make sure we were happy and content with our food choices. And our server was just a charm. Actually all of the employees we encountered where terrific. Friendly and genuine. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and plan on returning there for another wonderful meal in the near future.

    Simply AMAZING

In Philly for the weekend from Manhattan, stumbled upon this place and was overwhelmingly satisifed. The owner and his family made us feel at home; they were extremely warm and gave us wonderful advice about the city of Philadelphia. They also made our dishes however we wanted them, as if you were at your grandmother's house! The food was excellent -- simple but full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and inviting -- quite street, exposed brick, nice music, intimate but jovial. Great for couples and groups. It's also BYO! Try the paninis and caprese salad. They let us linger over our bottles of wine for as long as we liked; very European relaxed vibe. We CANNOT wait to go back!

    The Best!

This has been one of the best Italian meals I have had in years. The caprese salad was amazing, perfectly ripe tomatoes, great balsamic and incredible fresh mozzarella. I usually do not order steak, but could not stray from ordering a strip with gorgonzola, peppercorns in a rich brandy cream sauce; this combonation reminded me of what a steak should really taste like, perfectly cooked with great compliments of ingredients. Again, the chef did a great job preparing all of the dishes that we ordered; fresh pasta bolegnese, chicken with spinach, strip steak, ceaser salad, caprese salad, and of course tiramasu. I highly reccommend Giorgios for great food, impeccable service, and a comfortable atmosphere. One of the best restuarants in the city.

    New Kid on the Block

Delightful evening. Wonderful food and service. Very well priced. Don't miss the Ceasar salad.

    Intimate and affordable Italian

I visited recently with my fiance and another couple, and we were all delighted. As someone who was a sentimental fan of Valentino's, the restaurant that used to occupy the space, I was not disappointed with this new tenant. While the appetizers we ordered were a little small for sharing, we loved the clam appetizer and the sauteed calamari. My chicken with spinach was excellent, though my fiance thought his veal with prosciutto was on the salty side. The desserts were all very good, from the gelato of the day to the chocolate torte. All four of us had appetizers, entrees and dessert for around $160 with tip. Service was friendly and well-timed. No complaints, and we'll definitely go back!
