Crowded, noisy and didn't honor reservation time
Went Sat. evening with party of four. Reservations made a week in advance for 6:30 (we asked for later but this was only time available). Arrived on time and told to wait (on the sidewalk since there is no room inside). Checked in a while later and told to wait. By 7 we started looking for another spot. Hostess came out and told us our table was being set. Waited until 7:15 and again inquired. We were told to come in and they had set up a little table with folding chairs in the middle of the restaurant - so tight we could barely get to the chairs. Told to wait again and enjoy the wine (our own byob bottle). At 7:45 a table was open and we were seated. The noise level was so high we couldn't hear the waiter or each other. Food was actually ok, but not worth the extreme hassle. Never again for this place.

Well priced, but very very loud!
great BYOB for Italian. Very very loud. Walls are low and do not absorb any noise throughout the restaurant. Food is good. No subs on side dishes with items. Mussels with white sauce is wonderful as an app. Book early.

One of my favorites
Two words: Meat sauce. I cannot get enough, it reminds me of my Italian grandmother's sauce that would simmer for half a day to infuse the flavors. It is listed on the menu just on the gnocci but they will put it over whatever you ask. I had it over home made fettucini and I was hooked. I go every time I'm craving some warm home cooking & don't feel like making it myself. It is small inside, so on a Saturday night you may feel rushed, and I found the appetizers decent but unremarkable. I refer you back to the top for the only 2 words you'll need to know when you order!

A gem of a restaurant off South Broad Street
During a week in Philadelphia we ate out every day at top rated places which were very very expensive but left us always disappointed for either service or food quality. Towards the end of our holiday, after a long walk, we found this little place which we wished we had stumbled across at the beginning of the week. The food was superb and the service was good. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY and DELICIOUS FOOD.

NOT impressed
Had a private party of 38, in which they said was "no problem". When we arrived they were nasty and RUDE! The apps were very small and bland. The main meals had no taste or flavor. We didnt get our soup or salads. OK, enough of the negatives... The staff was great! If asked to go back... I would pass...

Awesome... & Lots of Gluten-Free Options!
Can't say enough good things. Great menue options - especially loved that they could make just about any dish gluten-free! Owner & staff go out of their way to make sure dinning experience is delightful. Check it out!

A little disappointed
Positives : The staff is friendly. The service is good. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. The appetizers (carpaccio, puff pastry with mushrooms were decent). Negatives : Main courses could have been better ( Gnocchi was okay. Beef sirlion was really chewy, branzino/fettucine with shrimp - were okay.). The calamari (appetizer) was bad. There was no single dish that really stood out. At the same time, there was no dish that was terrible. The place is really noisy. Overall, I will give it a 2.5 out of 5 and try it one more time.
