Never Disappoints
I've been here multiple times before, and each experience exceeds the one previous. The service is always exemplary and the food off the charts. I don't get here nearly as often as I'd like, but having just been there this past weekend I'm reminded of why I should be going with much more frequency. The filet, the crab, the mussels marianara, and of course, the gnocchi....Walt and his staff deserve kudos upon kudos and I can't wait to come back!

Pretty Good.. Gnocchi not so good
Food was great, but for the restaurant being called Gnocchi The Gnocchi were very, very bland.

not willing to accomodate
With only 4 other customers, my wife and I were seated next to another couple by a heater. Heat gets me literally sick. When I asked to move, she said she could not since they had many reservations. When other customers arrived without reservations, they were seated at the many other tables for two, far from the heater. Also we heard her discussing us. I do not go out for dinner for this type of expereince.

Best food and Service 5 Star Plus
We had a party of 12 last night and I have to say, that if you had a bad review of this place, you are the issue, not the staff or the food. I would imagine that you would never be happy. The entire wait staff brought their "A" game, they couldnt do enough for us. Food was served excatly how I would see had a high end place but with a home atmosphere. The only diffrence would be that the food was better then high end. Keep up the great work ladies and Walter. I will see you in a few weeks with my wife.

Wish there was not so much food
Atmosphere, service, and value were exceptional. And, the concept of an Italian restaurant whose signature dish is gnocchi is wonderful. The $35 prix fix dinner is an incrediable value but the meal would have benefited from much smaller portions with an increase in the quality of the dishes. There was simply too much food which was of good not not exceptional quality. With a change in focus the restaurant could be an exceptional experience.

Too much service
The food was excellent, assuredly homemade, best gnocchi I've had by far. My only criticism was that I had four waitresses, each asking me with every course how it was, would I like more, etc. I'd like to go again, but when they are busier so there isn't so much attention while I enjoy the wonderful meal!

Outstanding
my wife and I live in Edison, NJ in central Jersey. Most times when we visit the South Street area for the evening we have dinner at Gnocchi The ladies who are the owners are so gracious and personable--they are most often the servers. Food is always superb and worth the trip!! Atmosphere is quaint and serene--much needed in the chaos of the South Street scene. EAT there often and you will be in for a treat
